Whether it’s at a wedding, graduation, or New Years eve, it seems like champagne or wine is almost the signature drink of any of these events. The most recent event I attended where champagne was a part of, was at my Aunts wedding. The best man made a speech and toasted to the couple with his. The father of the bride then made a speech as well, and toasted with his wine. The thing about champagne and wine is that it’s usually not drank to get out of control with alcohol, but rather to just enjoy the fine taste. When you think of a crazy college party, the last thing you think of them drinking is a glass of wine. It’s nice to have a type of alcohol that is mostly drank for the taste, and not to get out of hand. I’m not a big drinker, but I do indulge in some wine or champagne when the occasion arises.

This past New Years Eve, I remember everyone had a glass of champagne in their hand right before midnight. I personally like champagne on major occasions like New Years Eve. There’s just something about champagne that just makes it major occasion worthy. Aside from how it tastes, it even has an attractive look to it. The bubbles in the glass just look nice in the glass, and in fact many pictures were taken that night with champagne glasses in hand.

So maybe it’s a matter of taste when it comes to champagne or wine. For me, it depends on where I am and what time of the day it is. I can’t see myself drinking champagne at a wedding that’s maybe during the afternoon. But hey, maybe someone’s taste buds wouldn’t mind. No matter which one you prefer. there is something about wine and champagne that just goes hand in hand with a special occasion
